Oh, c'mon, if that game yesterday didn't restore your faith in the Pats, what would? After the series where they lost Light, during which they were still getting their shit together, the O-line played like it hadn't missed a beat. And the secondary didn't get burned at all after that first half bomb to Hines Ward. They played one of the top-three teams in the league and they beat them even with those injuries.

Yes, it sucks, and I was about to have a heart attack each time, but at the end of the day I was left with a great feeling about the team.

(Forgive the aggressive nature of the comment... in trying to cheer you up, I seem to have become a bit crotchety.)

what was the word you used in your prediction about this game, chris? i believe it was annihilated. as in, "the patriots will be annihilated by the steelers."

am i glad they won? yeah. but i think you and i went in to this game with much different expectations. and, sorry, i'm not really going to feel in any way sanguine about the situation right now.

Okay, you got me. I will shut up now (once I stop laughing, because you're right: I'm an idiot. And, right now, that's funny.)

Me and my dumb predictions are funny, in case that wasn't clear.

*hugs chris*

Overcoming adversity is what our Patriots do best, Beth. Maybe this makes no sense, but if things were going swimmingly right now, I'd say we wouldn't have a chance.

also, I'll miss you. thanks for the pics.
