I agree so much with the sport of golf. Although in my late teens I got good enough at the game to actually have fun playing 18 holes and actually KNOWING where the ball was going to go. But then college happened, and the urge to play the game was gone, and has not returned. Nice to read your stuff though, Beth.


I like the whacking the little ball part. The rest I could do without.

Golf is boring. Period. Then again, I'll happily sit here and watch the Winter X Games, tennis, high school football championships, what have you, so I'm not sure my tastes are valid criteria of anything.


For those of us that aren't named Tiger Woods, golf is, at its heart, four hours of walking around a park in the sun with a beer cart that comes by every now and again, and occasional swipes at a ball to make things interesting.

What could be wrong with that? :-)
