The Herald's Inside Track reports:
And speaking of Damon, our favorite ex-Idiot tells New York maggie that his lovely bride, Michelle, wants to add a new perk to their Manhattan pad: a swing!
“We’re married,” Damon says, “you have to keep it interesting.”
What? Throwing pumpkins off the 55-story building in midtown Manhattan that the Damons currently call home isn’t cutting it???
Other revelations in the exhaustive Damon chronicle include the fact that the Yankees centerfielder removed an insulting comment about now-teammate Alex Rodriguez from later editions of his book “Idiot: Beating The Curse and Enjoying The Game Of Life.”
In the first edition of his timeless tome, Johnny opines that A-Rod’s whacking of Bronson Arroyo’s glove in an effort to swat the ball out during a critical play in the 2004 ALCS was “an unsportsmanlike act of cheating the likes of which none of us had ever seen.”
Johnny, who apologized to A-Rod for the slight, had the comment removed from later versions of the book.
However, he apparently felt no such compunction when it came to the classless comments he made about his first wife, Angie. After admitting that he cheated on her, Damon slagged the mother of his two kids as an intolerable nag who drove him to other women.
“I just wrote things honestly,” Damon told New York. “I wasn’t critical about anybody.”
File Under: Still An Idiot.
That is, if you can get past the hideous picture of Julian Tavarez in the Herald's page sidebar.
