I missed this game (2am CET start on a Monday morning? Not gonna happen, I'm afraid), but I did see Cuba / Venezuela, which was also a gem of a game.

I'm starting to think that the real purpose of the WBC is to make us re-discover the game of baseball. And it seems to be working.

Boston Fan in Michigan

I watched ALL THREE TELEVISED GAMES yesterday. USA/Japan at 4, DR/PR at 8, Mexico/Korea at 11. Why the hell did I do that? I don't know. I'm insane. But it was baseball all day long and it was like being here in Michigan during the regular season, where some days I can watch the Tigers day game, then flip to TBS to watch the Braves or WGN to see the Cubs in a late afternoon game or something, and then a primetime showing on ESPN. BASEBALL IMMERSION. So beautiful.

the Carribean teams have my heart and I absolutely love the praise that the announcers give to Alex Cora for doing the type of things that players should always do it makes me happy. O and how about the homerun calls in Spanish i wish I could do that
