Tonight's game doesn't warrant a long post. Schilling wasn't quite as sharp as in other starts, but still got the job done, holding down the Devil Rays while the Sox plated nine runs. And with the number of one-run games this pitching staff has slammed the door on, an eight-run lead feels like twenty.
For the first time since spring training, though, we got to enjoy one of the special treats that only comes with a blowout: a fit of the giggles for Don and Remy. There was a discussion about Rem-Dawg shrinking and something about Larry King that...well...you just had to be there. That's what makes Remy and Orsillo the ultimate sportscast team; even when the game is well in hand, they make it worthwhile to stay put and watch.
Just a good, relaxed baseball game for the Sox...with the exception of Adam Stern's nice Johnny Damon impression in center. Does the guy think he's competing for the permanent job?
