So perhaps it is a little foolish to exactly jump for joy over the first Red Sox win in seven games. Also it is perhaps a bit premature to declare the return of one Keith Foulke, given he's only made three appearances. However, if last night's tightrope walk by our bullpen (for ONCE) is any indication, Foulke looks like a godsend coming back into that mix. Finally, FINALLY our middle relief stepped up last night, and Foulke was one of them, by God.
It's too early to gloat by far. And his terrible year last year plus his mostly-lost year this year mean he's probably not going to be in a Boston uniform too much longer. But I'm putting y'all on notice. I'm not letting this go, and if he's back for real, you'll be hearing from me.
Finally, I wanted to note this picture of Mike Timlin published by the Herald today:
Looks like something lit a fire under his ass. Literally.
