'72 Dolphins or '07 Patriots?

 I think due to strength of schedule and the extended season, and the overall bigger and better athletes of today, the edge goes to the '07 Pats, but I'm sure you figured that would be my opinion ;)

Comparing teams from different generations is always a ridiculous thing to do, although strangely enough, perfectly natural. It must always be subjective. Times change. If the 1972 Dolphins were around today, I guess they'd get whipped every single game, unable to cope with the modern game.

As you say, the modern athlete is bigger and probably a whole lot fitter than an athlete in 1972.
