« I want my Papi back | Main | Whupping the Yankees, Texas style: just what the doctor ordered »

Was it a procedural issue that kept Casey out of the game? We were told it was a fake-switch. In the sense that Tito was planning to put Casey in to face Percival, but then when Percival had to leave the game after tweking his hamstring yet again, Howell came in, so Tito changed his mind & sent Lugo up instead. Our entire section groaned collectively.

i heard something on the broadcast about casey not being able to come out and hit because lugo had already put the batting helmet on. i thought it was a "too late, lugo has to hit now" thing, not a "hey! i think i'll send up julio lugo" thing. but i'm pretty sure you were probably paying better attention than i was.
