ok here's the deal
top of the 9th
relief pitcher comes in for the yankees
score is 5-1
we manage to score two
then one more
finally it's the last out top the 9th
score is 5-4
shea hillenbrand up
and the count is 3-2
a single pitch away from losing
he fouls
almost had a freakin coronary
but then he hits it to right field
the yankees screw up
we score another one
tie it up
before we retire the side we come within nanometers
of scoring again
but leave with things tied
so in the bottom of the 9th they're tied 5 to 5
then
fuckin
our pitcher strikes or flies out
everyone except one
guy on third for the yanks
another guy on the plate
two outs
count 3-2
our pitcher throws a pitch
the ump calls it a ball instead of a strike
batter walks, guy on third gets the winning run
and we lose
by ONE pitch.
