That game last night? Sucked. I think we should give Daisuke the Curt Schilling treatment--send him on the DL for some R&R and maybe a little mechanical adjustment if he needs it. It's clear at this point that there's something wrong: fatigue, the league catching up to him once and for all, adjustment issues, mechanical issues, all of the above. Meanwhile we have talented young starting pitching coming out of our ears right now, and there's always old Uncle Julian to bridge the gap if necessary. We did it with Curt, why not with Dice?
So in the meantime here are some happier things to think about than the Red Sox last night. Like how about some incredible pictures of Tom Brady on Boston.com? Kristen sent me the link earlier this week, and we had the following conversation:
Me: You know, I approve of him currently dating a world-class supermodel with access to the finest clothing and photographers. I really, really do.
And you really should've warned me about the second picture. I think my heart literally stopped for a second. And OMG the jeans and the Sox hat and the t-shirt...those jeans should be sent to the Smithsonian when he's done with them.
Kristen: /goes back to look at second picture
/swallows tongue
Me: You hadn't seen it?!?!
Kristen: I had. But I forgot which one it was. Reminders are dangerous to one's health.
If that's not your cup of tea, perhaps I can interest you in some motivation courtesy of "Terrible" Terry Tate, America's favorite Office Linebacker.
If that's not the funniest thing you've seen all week, I'd have to ask just what you've been up to.
