I have been thinking about it, and I think Papi's issue is that he can't hit unless he has someone big time in the lineup to protect him. That being said, I don't want to boo David Ortiz. Mostly I want to rip my still beating heart out of my chest when ever he has a game like this one. I just want him to hit and have everything be alright. And it was a fantastic game, great pitching, incredible timely hitting by Hermida, and Pap sends em down 1,2,3 in the ninth. Everything came together for the first time tonight. And the Nation rejoiced.

Dad

It is always sad to see a player be a "shadow of his former self". Papi has given us a lot of GREAT memories now it's time for him to be remembered for this and retire. VERY difficult for a player to do and for fans to accept. Thanks for the memories Papi, you'll always be welcome at Fenway.

Sam

Anyone who boos David Ortiz should be packed up in Red Sox tape and sent to the Yankee Stadium bleachers. Let them do the dirty work. I would not want to sully my hands with such filth.

NOT THAT I TAKE THIS TOO SERIOUSLY OR ANYTHING
